1. You Still Love Sin.

One of the signs that you are not saved that will manifest if you don’t have genuine salvation is that you will lack a new birth experience that 2 Corinthians 5:17 talks about.

Having a new birth experience in Christ simply means having a new spiritual rebirth that makes you want to follow after righteousness done by the regeneration and the renewal of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5-7).

It’s just a matter of fact that if you are not saved by believing in Jesus Christ by faith in your heart, you have no eternal life in you but are on your way to hellfire.

This is because eternal life that will make you spend eternity with God, Jesus Christ, and the redeemed saints of all ages are only made possible through salvation.

But if you are not saved or are a false convert, this eternal life Christ promises to all those who believe in Him with all their hearts in John 3:16 will simply be absent in your life.

And these fruits of repentance are simply good works or righteousness that someone shows immediately when they become truly saved.

The bible in Galatians 5:22 states that when you become a truly born again believer in Christ, you will show all the 9 fruits of the Spirit that verse talks about.

To be carnally minded simply means to mind only things that pertain to your carnal sinful flesh or to walk after the flesh and not the Spirit.

It also means that you walk after your sinful flesh and its lustful desires such as sexual immorality, covetousness, lasciviousness e.tc.

Please, remember that there is no such thing as a carnal Christian as some erroneously believe. You are either a truly born again Christian or a sinner even if you go to church every Sunday.

If you claim to be genuinely saved, you won’t be carnally minded and walk after your fleshly desires but you will be spiritually minded that will make you walk after the Spirit and think things only pertaining to the Spirit.

7. Exhibit The Works Of The Flesh.

The works of the flesh Galatians 5:19-21 talks about will be prominent in your life due to the old sinful nature that’s still present in your life making you do those fleshy things.

By exhibiting the works of the flesh in your life, you show that you don’t yet have the new birth experienced that only comes after genuine salvation that sets one free from the power of sin and its gruesome consequences.

Sadly, most people claim to be Christians but still exhibit the works of the flesh in their lives such as drunkenness, fornication, and many others.

It’s the reason why many young people nowadays are not sexually pure nowadays including people who profess to be Christians because they don’t see sex before marriage to be wrong.

But if you are a truly saved Christian, these works of the flesh won’t be in your life because you have a new nature of Christ that makes you follow after righteousness and not your former lusts that have been crucified with your old self on the cross.

8. No Desire To Follow After Righteousness.

If you are not yet a true believer or born again Christian, you simply won’t have the desire to follow after righteousness and live a godly life in this present evil world.

And the simple reason for that is because God’s grace that brings salvation to all men Titus 2:11 talks about has not yet been made available to you to help you deny ungodliness and worldly lusts so that you can live a holy life that’s above sin.

Since you are not saved yet, you won’t have the power to overcome the desires of your sinful flesh that are making you sin in the first place.

For this reason, the desire to follow after righteousness will simply be absent in your life as righteousness won’t be appealing to you as our natural sinful flesh loves to sin and hates anything pertaining to holiness.

But when you become truly saved by true repentance, you will no longer thirst after sin but after righteousness of which you will be filled as it’s written in Matthews 5:6 that,” blessed are those who thirst and hunger after righteousness for they will be filled. Amen to that.

9. You Are A Sunday Christian.

Ever heard of this term or know what it meant? Let me define it for you. A Sunday Christian is simply a person who goes to church only on Sunday but lives like the heathens during weekdays.

Typically, these seeming so-called Christians profess to love the Lord with their lips but in their works deny Him and are not willing to obey God’s word (Titus 1:16).

Sunday Christians are common nowadays in most churches because most of these fake Christians can’t endure sound doctrines but go to churches that tell them what they want to hear due to itching ears they have (2 Timothy 4:3).

If you are such a fake Christians, you will certainly go to church on Sunday for formality’s sake but in reality, your heart is as distant as ever from the Lord.

My encouragement to you dear hypocrite if you are such a person, please repent and be genuinely saved while there is time so that you can make it for heaven when you die.

10. You Love False Teachings.

One of the signs that will show you are not saved is that you will love false teachings from false teachers and false prophets because they feel good and tickling to your sinful flesh.

There are a lot of false prophets nowadays who are on a mission to deceive others with their false teachings that are appealing to the sinful flesh of their deceived followers (2Peter 2:1).

And false prophets are not to be blamed alone. Gullible and deceived followers are to be blamed too for embracing false teachings from these false teachers.

A lot of people these days are not seeking the truth that will convict their hearts of their sins. They want false teachers that will tell them vain and empty words that make them comfortable in their sin but without fruit (Jude 1:12).

But if you are a Christian who is truly saved with a genuine relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, you will detest false teachings because a different spirit is behind those false teachings as you are filled with the Spirit of truth that won’t entertain falsehood anywhere near you.

11. You Won’t Endure Sound Doctrine.

Another sign that will show that you are unsaved is that you won’t be able to endure sound doctrine just as the apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:3 predicts.

Sound doctrine is essential in the life of every born-again believer because without that, you will be susceptible to all sorts of deceptions from Satan and false teachers. Sadly, most people are not willing to endure the sound doctrine of the bible.

If you are not saved, sound biblical doctrines of living a holy life that’s above sin and self-denial for Christ’s sake will be offensive and burdensome to you due to the old man present in you that loves sin but hate all that pertains to holiness.

This is because our natural sinful flesh hates holiness and loves sin and anything be it God’s word that comes against it will be hated and viewed as an enemy.

On the contrary, if you are truly saved you will endure sound doctrine and find them edifying to your soul as you are no longer controlled by your former old nature of sin. God’s commandments won’t be grievous to you (1 John 5:3).

12. Unwilling To Deny Self.

Self-denial is one of the most important things you must-do if you want to be a true believer or follower of Christ. Without that, you can’t be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Christ explicitly said in Matthews 16:24 that whosoever desires to come after Him must deny himself and take up his cross to follow Him.

Self in this context refers to the sinful nature you are born with that makes you do things that are pleasing to your sinful self but are not pleasing unto the Lord.

Unfortunately, most people aren’t willing to deny themselves fully to follow Christ and after righteousness due to the love of self that is present in their hearts.

But if you want to be a disciple of Christ, you must deny yourself, no matter how painful and uncomfortable it may feel. Otherwise, forget about being Christ’s disciple and being with Him in heaven when you die, dear.

13. No New Life.

If you are unsaved, you won’t exhibit a new life the apostle Paul talks about in 2 Corinthians 5:17 because you have not yet changed on the inside.

And this new life is only possible when you have a change of heart and a new heart and a new spirit the Lord promises at salvation in Ezekiel 36:26.

What you need to understand dear reading this now, is that without a change of heart on the inside, you are still be a sinner with the same old sinful nature in your heart that makes you go back to your sins.

Yes, you may go to church every Sunday, but this new life of holiness and purity of heart will simply be non-existent in your life that will be made evident by your sinful lifestyle. Remember, a change of heart is what leads it a change in behavior and character.

This is because you don’t have a new heart yet that comes at salvation to enable you to live godly in this present evil world.
