A false convert is simple anyone who claims to convert to Christianity but has no fruits of repentance to back up their supposed claim conversion to Jesus Christ.

False conversions are rampant in modern-day Christianity which is a sad state of affairs indeed especially in these last days we are living in.

I used to be a false convert as well and so I know what false conversion is all about. The bible also says that a false convert never shows fruits of repentance.

This is the direct opposite of true conversion because a true convert will always show fruits of repentance unlike false coverts on only have a form of godliness but deny God in their works.

Since a tree is known by its fruits, a false convert unlike a true covert will never show a changed and transformed life but will bear bad fruits according to their nature of sin in them.

Can A False Convert Be Saved?

Of course, all false converts or sinners can be saved and have eternal life just like every sinner if they sincerely come to Jesus Christ with all their heart for the forgiveness of their sins.

For a false convert living in perpetual sin to be saved and become a true convert on their way to heaven, they need to fully renounce their sinful lifestyle and be determined to follow after righteousness.

True conversion is needed for someone to be a true convert which will be evident by the fruits of repentance that person will display.

Any person who is a true convert of truly born again will show good fruit which will be accompanied by good works.

1. Works Of The Flesh.

A false convert will always exhibit the works of the flesh in their lives due to the nature of sin that is still active in them (Galatians 5:19-22).

This is because a false Christian has never experienced a new birth experience in their life for then to live above sin and that their old sinful nature is still active in them causing them to live after the flesh and not the Spirit.

It’s the new birth found in only true believers who are now under God’s graces that enables one to walk in righteousness and not in iniquity.

Since false Christians don’t have real salvation, they can’t walk in holiness because sin is what is controlling their lives.

Only true Christians walk after the Spirit because they have a new birth experience and true salvation that is evident by their good works in their lives.

2. No New Birth Experience.

Part of the reason false Christians live their hypocritical lives is that they don’t have a definite birth experience in their life and that is why there is a false covert in the first place.

It’s this lack of a new spiritual birth experience that all true converts experience at salvation that causes false converts to continue living in sin even if they repent too many times on the altar call.

As long as you don’t have this new birth experience present in every true believer in Christ, you will repent countless times to no avail. The difference will be the same.

The reason so many sinners don’t experience true conversion from their old sinful life is that they don’t receive God’s word with all their heart and take their salvation issue lightly.

If you want real salvation and sanctification in your life by God’s grace from your sinful lifestyle, there is still hope for you if you are still living in sin as God still loves you and doesn’t want you to perish. Just be sincere in your prayer or repentance and you will be saved.

3. No Fruits Of Repentance.

A person who isn’t truly saved from their sins will never show fruits of repentance which is the problem for many fake Christians today who are still living in sin.

Most people or so-called- Christians just go to church for formality’s sake and not to truly seek the Lord with all their hearts which is evident in their lack of true conversion to righteousness.

Any false Christian though that person may go to church on Sunday is still on their way to hellfire because they have no true salvation in their lives and are still living in sin.

John the Baptist said the same things to the Sadducees and the Pharisees in Matthews 3:8-11 when he was rebuking them for their hypocrisy to show for fruits of repentance and not just claim that there are children of Abraham.

And if you are not careful, you may slip into apostasy and be beyond the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ if you continue in your willful sin as Paul wonderfully puts it in Hebrews 10:26.

4. Love Of Sin.

False converts love their sin like no man’s business which is why they find it hard to forsake their sins and turn to righteousness.

You can’t say you are a true convert or believer if you are still in love with your sinful lifestyle because if you are doing so, you are just deceiving yourself.

Sinners who are not truly saved from their sins look forward to sinning every day and claim that no one can be holy which is a lie indeed because 1 Peter 1:16 says that you must be holy even as He is holy if you want to make it for heaven.

These kinds of false Christians claim that we all sin daily and that there is nothing we can do about it notwithstanding that Jesus came for this reason to die on the cross so that we can live a holy life by His grace of course, not be our efforts.

The love of sin displayed by fake Christians is just evidence that they have no eternal life in them as God’s grace that brings salvation to all men is missing in their lives. Don’t be such a person, dear.

5. Hates Righteousness.

Since a false convert loves their sin, it’s just natural that they hate righteousness and sound doctrine that convicts them of their sinful lifestyle.

And this is the case with so many hypocrites and the church goes today who claim to be born again but are still wallowing in iniquity like a Pig in the dirt.

Since all fake Christians hate the truth and sound doctrine found in scripture due to their love of sin, they don’t bother to turn away from their iniquity but have pleasure in it.

If you hate the truth and claim to be born again, you are a liar and the truth is not in you because when you are a true believer, you will love the truth and hate false doctrines from false prophets that are rampant today.

This is because false prophets hate the truth and righteousness that is why they don’t teach the truth or preach against sin in the pulpits they are standing but fables and what people want to hear.

6. Walks After The Flesh.

If you are not a true believer firmly established in God’s word, you will certainly not bear good fruit in your Christian life and walk after the Spirit of life.

Those who are not truly saved and not standing on the true faith of Christ will walk after their fleshly desires because they don’t have that inner birth experience that brings about a new changed nature.

If you are a fake Christian, walking after the flesh will be more appealing to you as the flesh will always want you to do things contrary to the Spirit.

People who walk after the flesh find sin enjoyable be it the sins of drinking, fornication, drugs, and all the other works of the flesh mentioned in Galatians 5:19.

The reason why there is a lot of sexual immorality among so-called Christian is that many of these false Christians live according to the dictates of their fleshly desires and not after the Spirit of truth and righteousness that leads to the holiness of life. What a shame.

7. Love Of The World.

In 1 John 2:15-17, the scripture tells us that as a true Christian, you must not love the world nor the things in it because if you do so, the love of the Father is certainly not in you, dear.

And you can’t say you have the love of the Father in you if you are engrossed in worldly things be it fashion, entertainment, or their dressing styles.

Sadly, many so-called Christians love the world so much in the sense that the love of God in their lives is pretty non-existent like a desert.

For false converts without real salvation in their lives, the love of the world is simply too strong for them to have any room in their hearts to love God.

And this is made evident by what they do, the fashion trends they follow, dressing styles, etc. This is why so many so-called Christians today are worldly and can’t be differentiated from worldly people at all.

8. Disobedient To God’s Word.

A false convert has no desire to obey God’s whatsoever because the word of God is grievous and an offense to such people especially if it’s convicting them of their sinful lifestyle.

Their sinful lifestyle is evidence of this. All that a fake Christian wants is to live after their fleshy desires. For such people, God’s word is something they don’t want anything to do within their lives.

Obeying God’s commandments is what separates someone who has true conversion in their life from someone who doesn’t, a fake believer.

So many people who claim to be saved don’t live in total obedience to God’s word but just do what they want to do as their flesh dictates to them.

This is why 21st century Christianity won’t take anyone to heaven but lead many to hell because it’s based on fleshly feelings and not obeying God’s word that commands us to live holy and forsake sin.

9. Fake Love.

Unless you are truly saved and have the love of Christ imparted to you, definitely you won’t be able to truly selflessly love others as Christ first loved you.

If you are not truly converted, you will still have that natural inbred selfish Adamic nature we are all born with by birth. A lot of people want to think they are love but they are not.

If you have no love of God in your life in the case of a fake Christian, your idea of love will be based on what you can milk and get from a person and not what you can give as Christ commends us.

Fake and superficial love is all you will have because without, God love has no meaning as He’s the only one whose love is pure without any selfish motive unlike the love of man that has hidden selfish motives.

This is why so many people are selfish these days even if they claim to be Christians and such people can’t have successful friendships or marriages as they are all about themselves and what they can get from others rather than what they can give.

10. No Fruits Of The Spirit.

 Since people who aren’t truly saved walk after the flesh, they don’t manifest the fruits of the Spirit as such good fruits are only possible if one is a true covert with a new birth experience in Christ Jesus.

If you are a true convert with true salvation that leads unto eternal life, you will manifest all the nine fruits of the Spirit as listed by Paul the Apostle in Galatians 5:22.23.

And this is the litmus test if you want to know if someone is a true believer in Christ or not as fake believers don’t have the fruits of the Spirit in their lives.

If you claim to be a true believer and lack these nine essential fruits of the Spirit, you are a self-deceiving hypocrite on your way to healing fire my dear and need to urgently repent from your hypocrisy before it’s too late to do so.

I was a false convert too who used to walk after the flesh as I was buried in sinful addictions but God delivered me from all my sinful addictions and I now walk after righteousness. You too can be saved just as I was if you are willing to stop playing God with your hypocrisy.

11. On Their Way To Hellfire.

It’s just a matter of fact that if you are a false convert, you are still a sinner without eternal life and you are on your way to hellfire if you don’t repent.

I know that a lot of Lukewarm Christians don’t like being told like that but because I love and care for your soul dear fake believer, I have to tell you this even if you hate this post.

Remember, open rebuke is better than hidden love that is carefully concealed in lies and hypocrisy. Since I love you, I have to let you know that if you are living a double standard life, you won’t make it for heaven.

Only true converts whose names have been written in the Lamb’s book of life will make it for heaven but the good news is that you can be a true convert today and start living a holy Christian life on your way to heaven.

You don’t have to go to hellfire dear because hell was created for the devil and his angels but if you continue being a fake Christian, you will find yourself there with him, too (Matthews 25:41-46).
