7 Vital Steps To Being Born Again Truly Today.

This post today will show you the 7 steps to being born again and having a new life after accepting Christ as your personal Lord and savior through genuine repentance.

A lot of people ask this question on how to be born again and if you are such a person, then this article is for you, and by the end of it, you will become saved if you are not saved yet.

With that said, here are the 7 steps to being born again you must take if you want to be a truly born again Christian and have everlasting life. Let’s dive in.

Why Get Born Again?

That’s an excellent question you may be asking as you are reading this article. In short, you must be born again so that you can enter God’s kingdom.

Jesus said that no one can enter the kingdom of God and have everlasting life unless they become truly born again through genuine repentance that brings salvation (John 3:5).

Secondly, you must be born again so that the old Adamic nature that causes you to sin or love sin is completely removed and replaced with the new nature of Christ that will make you hate sin and love righteousness through spiritual rebirth (Ephesians 4:22-24).

As natural human beings, we are all born spiritually dead because our first parents, Adam and Eve fell from grace by eating the forbidden fruit. But when you become born again, this sinful nature we all inherited from our first parents gets replaced with a new nature of Christ.

It’s this new spiritual rebirth and new nature of Christ Jesus one inherits at salvation after true repentance that makes one start hating sin and start loving righteousness and follow after it.

7 Steps To Take To Be Truly Born Again.

Here are the 7 simple steps you must take to become born again and have everlasting life which will help you make it to heaven when you die.

  1. Admit That You Need A Saviour.
  2. Believe In Jesus.
  3. Accept Jesus Into Your Heart.
  4. Repent & Confess Your Sins.
  5. Say Bye To Sin.
  6. Get Water Baptism.
  7. Continue In The Lord.

1. Admit That You Need A Saviour.

If you want to be born again, you need to realize that you desperately need a savior to save you from your sins and the terrible consequences it brings upon all unrepentant sinners.

By admitting that you need a savior, you simply say that you can’t save yourself, no matter how good you may look in your own eyes.

This is the first step you must take for you to be born again and have everlasting life through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit that will give you a new birth and a new life in Christ.

Sadly, some people think they don’t need a savior to save them and they couldn’t be more mistaken. Such people think their superficial good deeds or being a good person will earn them a place in heaven.

But the Bible is clear that you can’t earn your salvation by your efforts or by trying to be a good person by doing good deeds because it’s by grace through faith we are saved and not by the works of righteousness we have done (Titus 3:5-7).

2. Believe In Jesus.

The second step to take to be born again is believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, the begotten Son of God, and what He did for you on the cross of Calvary.

If you don’t believe in the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, you won’t be saved and later on become born again because the bible says that it’s those who believe in Jesus that will have everlasting life and those that don’t are damned already (John 3:18).

Paul the apostle in Romans 10:9,10 also goes further to say that if you believe that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead in your heart, you will be saved and receive the forgiveness of your sins.

Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation is crucial because salvation comes by faith in believing in what Christ did for you on the cross.

If you don’t have that faith, you certainly won’t be born again dear nor will you receive the forgiveness of your sins to escape eternal death sin brings on all unrepentant sinners (Romans 6:23).

3. Accept Jesus Into Your Heart.

This is another crucial step you must take for you to be genuinely born again and have everlasting life because merely going to church on Sunday isn’t what will make you go to heaven.

If you don’t accept Christ into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior, you won’t be saved and you will have to die in your sins and spend your eternity in hellfire prepared for the devil and his angels.

The Lord is still knocking at the door of your heart waiting for you to let Him in so that He can give you eternal life and be with Him in heaven when you leave this troublesome wicked world (Revelations 3:20).

Don’t be most people and shut the door of your heart to Christ because if you do so, Satan will enter your heart instead and ruin your soul in hellfire in the end.

And the time to accept Jesus in your heart dear reader so that you can be saved and escape God’s judgment and wrath to come is now because tomorrow may be too late. Now is the time to seek the Lord while He may be found (Isaiah 55:6,7).

4. Repent & Confess Your Sins.

Genuine repentance is crucial for one to be born again and experience a new birth and a new life to be in God’s family.

True repentance and confession of one’s sins are what will make one receive salvation and become saved because forgiveness of sins is only possible when one truly repents of their sins (Proverbs 28:13).

Repenting of your sins, simply means that you change your mind towards sin and God by turning away from them and unto God.

You can’t say that you have truly repented of your sins if you have not forsaken them and still have the love of sin in your heart that makes you go back to the very sins you renounced on the altar call just a few minutes ago in church.

Jesus says in Luke 13:5 that unless you repent, you will likewise perish in hellfire when you die in those very sins. Choose to repent now before it’s too late, dear when you close your eyes to death.

5. Say Bye To Sin.

After repenting of your sins, you need to say goodbye to your sins by forsaking them. God’s word in Proverbs 28:13 states that only those who confess and forsake their sinful lifestyles, a mark of true repentance will receive mercy.

If you can’t say goodbye to your old sinful lifestyle, it simply means that you still have the love of sin in you and that your repentance isn’t genuine at all.

But when you truly repent and become born again, you become filled with God’s Spirit that now will direct your life and make you hate your past wicked life and that’s what the new birth in Christ is all about.

Sadly, most people only repent with their mouths but aren’t willing to forsake and say bye to their sins which is why there are so many false converts these days who repent on the altar call but a few minutes later, are back to the old vomit they renounced on the altar call.

So, if you want to be truly born again and be sure you are on your way to heaven, be willing to say goodbye to your old sins which won’t be difficult if you experience a new spiritual rebirth in Christ after genuine repentance of your sins.

6. Get Water Baptism.

Now before I go any further on this point, please understand that water baptism alone doesn’t save or cleanse you from your sins. The blood of Jesus Christ is what is responsible for salvation.

Baptism is just a sign or symbol that you are now alive in Christ but dead to your old sinful self. It is a symbol of a new spiritual birth you have in Christ and you must do it because Christ commands you to do it.

Some people erroneously think that being baptized alone can save you from sin but that’s wrong. If that was the case, then Christ wouldn’t have to die on the cross for our sins because it’s Christ’s blood that atones for our sins, not water baptism.

Yes, the bible does say you must get baptized but if you read with discernment, you will note that salvation comes first before baptism. No wonder John the Baptist told the Pharisees to produce fruits of repentance first if they wanted to be baptized by him (Luke 3:8).

No wonder the apostle Peter in Acts 2:38 told the men who asked him what they must do to be saved that they must first be saved by repenting of their sins and believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and then they can then be baptized later, not before they got saved.

7. Continue In The Lord.

At this point, you should now be born again after experiencing a new spiritual transformation that comes at salvation when one truly repents of their sinful ways.

After getting saved, you must vow never to go and sin anymore or something worse will happen to you because there is no point in getting saved if you don’t intend to live a consistent Christian life that is above sin or follow after Christ.

Even if other people decide to backslide and return to their old vomit, you dear reading this now must vow never to turn back because the Lord has no pleasure in those who draw back unto perdition (Hebrews 10:38).

If you draw back and die in your backslidden state, you will be very unfortunate dear because in that case, heaven won’t be your final resting home when you die and you don’t want to be that unfortunate person that after knowing the Lord, you end up in hell instead of heaven.

So, I encourage you if you have just been born again after reading this article to continue in the Lord and the grace is available for you to help you run and finish your Christian race with joy so that you can obtain that imperishable crown of life in the end if you don’t give up.

  1. Thank You for your work in reaching out to those being drawn to salvation. The only thing I would want to help you with is the fact of remaing sin in the Christian after their new birth. As much as I want to not sin after I was born again. I have and 1 John teaches us that if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. There will be no sinless perfection on this side of heaven. The Christian simply does not live in the vomit. Though occasionally they will step in it. Romans 7 speaks to that struggle against our carnal flesh. Anyone who thinks they don’t are prideful. Daily repentance is the way of the Christian life. The more we grow the less we succumb to our flesh. There is much more to be said on this subject. Careful research will reveal more truth in this area of the christians life.

  2. Paul.alone is our apostle, he tells us “I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify mine office.”

Also, “Brethren, be ye together followers of me as I also am of Christ.”

All other apostles are to the nation of Israel. 2nd Timothy 2:15 is vital for this very reason.

If we are not following the Lord Jesus Christ through Paul, we are not following the Lord Jesus Christ at all.

Yall wanna quote Peter, Mathew, James and Hebrews but those are all apostles to the nation of Israel and not the Gentile nation. If your not following Paul, our apostle, you have the wrong message. Water baptism is not our message at all.

Our message says “we are buried with Him in baptism”.

The very fist verse in James tells WHO it is written TO.

The Lord Jesus said ” I come NOT but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel”.

This I why Paul ONLY is our apostle.

Conclusion; Your teaching doctrines of devils due to your lack of “rightly dividing the word of truth” 2nd Timothy 2:15.

Romans, Corinthians Ephesians Philippians Colossians 1st and 2nd Timothy Titus and Philemon.

ALL the Bible is FOR us, but not all the Bible was written TO us. Check the address.

    Blessings!
