The unsaved signs you will read below are also the signs I displayed as well when I was unsaved and a lukewarm Christian who just played religion.
By the end of this post, you will know if you are truly saved or not with the 15 signs you are not truly saved below that will act as a wake-up call to you to be genuinely saved if you are not.
15 Signs That You Are Unsaved.
Below are the 15 signs that you are unsaved, which will be a wake-up call for you if you are still unsaved but still a Sunday churchgoer who practices vain religion.
1. You Still Love Sin.
The love of sin will be one of the signs that will clearly show in your life that you are not truly saved through the genuine faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In short, even if you claim to be a Christian, you are not because you still love your sin and still hate righteousness by not living by God’s word which brings eternal life.
It’s just a matter of fact that if you lack genuine salvation in your life, you are going to love your sinful lifestyle and go back to it even after repenting just a few minutes ago on the altar call.
You can’t say you are truly saved, my lovely dear if you still love sin in your heart. In that case, beloved, you are just a mere hypocrite or churchgoer on your way to hellfire, as there is no hope for a hypocrite.
This is because if you are saved by the cleansing power of the blood of the Lamb that washes away all sins, the love of sin in your life will be virtually absent and replaced with the new love for righteousness and holiness (John 1:29).
2. No New Birth Experience.
One of the signs that you are not saved that will manifest if you don’t have genuine salvation is that you will lack a new birth experience that 2 Corinthians 5:17 talks about.
Having a new birth experience in Christ simply means having a new spiritual rebirth that makes you want to follow after righteousness done by the regeneration and the renewal of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5-7).
It’s this new birth found in the life of a truly born-again Christian that makes one follow after righteousness and shun all forms of evil.
With this new birth experience in Christ, all genuinely born-again Christians live new lives that glorify God and not their sinful flesh nor do they walk after their former lusts (Romans 8:1).
But if you are not saved, you won’t have this new birth experience that enables you to follow after righteousness Instead, you will still have that old sinful nature in you that makes you love to sin and see sin as an attractive thing to do.
3. You Have No Eternal Life In You.
It’s just a matter of fact that if you are not saved by believing in Jesus Christ by faith in your heart, you have no eternal life in you but are on your way to hellfire.
Eternal life is among the most important signs that will show if you are truly saved by grace through faith in Christ and are on your way to heaven.
This is because eternal life that will make you spend eternity with God, Jesus Christ, and the redeemed saints of all ages is only made possible through salvation.
But if you are not saved or are a false convert, this eternal life Christ promises to all those who believe in Him with all their hearts in John 3:16 will simply be absent in your life.
Rather, eternal condemnation and damnation in hellfire are what will be on you as a sinner unless you repent of your sinful ways and become a truly born-again believer filled with a new love for God and His righteousness.
4. Lack Of Fruits Of Repentance.
If you are not truly born again with genuine salvation in your life, the fruits of repentance the Bible talks about in Matthew 3:8 will simply be absent.
Fruits of repentance are one of the most important signs that will show you are truly saved from your sins and on your way to heaven.
And these fruits of repentance are simply good works or righteousness that someone shows immediately when they become truly saved.
But if you are not a true believer saved by the genuine faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, these fruits of repentance won’t manifest in your life.
And you will be just like the hypocritical Pharisees of the Bible who claimed to be saved and children of Abraham but had no fruits of repentance to justify their claims.

5. No Fruits Of The Spirit.
The Bible in Galatians 5:22 states that when you become a truly born-again believer in Christ, you will show all the 9 fruits of the Spirit that verse talks about.
Fruits of the Spirit are simply fruits the Holy Spirit imparts on anyone who truly repents of their sins and becomes born again which reflects the image of Christ.
It’s these fruits of the Spirit that make any true believer saved by God’s grace walk after the Spirit and not after their former fleshly lusts that constantly war against your soul (1 Peter 2:11).
But if you are not saved, you won’t have these precious 9 fruits of the Spirit. Rather, the works of the flesh Galatians 5:19 talks about are what will characterize your life.
This is because you have not yet experienced new spiritual birth in Christ for you to have this new Christ-like nature that will enable you to manifest the 9 fruits of the Spirit the apostle Paul talks about in Galatians 5:19-21.
6. Carnally Minded.
If you are not saved and a truly born-again Christian, you will be carnally minded and only mind the things of the flesh and not spiritual things that bring life (Romans 8:6).
To be carnally minded simply means to mind only things that pertain to your carnal sinful flesh or to walk after the flesh and not the Spirit.
It also means that you walk after your sinful flesh and its lustful desires such as sexual immorality, covetousness, lasciviousness, etc.
Please, remember that there is no such thing as a carnal Christian as some erroneously believe. You are either a truly born-again Christian or a sinner even if you go to church every Sunday.
If you claim to be genuinely saved, you won’t be carnally minded and walk after your fleshly desires; you will be spiritually minded, which means you will walk after the Spirit and think only about the Spirit.

7. You’ll Summarize Romans 1:18-32.
If you are still an unsaved hypocritical Christian who just plays with religion, Romans 1:18-32 will truly apply and summarize what your sinful lifestyle is all about.
The above chapter says that unsaved sinful people who want to remain stubborn in their evil ways will indulge in all manner of moral perversions like lesbianism, homosexual acts, sexual immorality, etc.
Due to your love of sin in your heart, God will just give you over to your degrading passions as you have rejected Him by choosing your rebellious life of sin which will just lead you to hellfire.
The last verse of that chapter warns that if you continue living that way, you will be subject to God’s fierce wrath and judgment at the end of this age which will be terrifying indeed.
I pray you don’t end up in such a predicament when salvation is freely available to you now. All you need to do is swallow your pride by letting go of the rebellious sinful life you are living and come to the Lord.
8. No Assurance Of Salvation.
The first sign that you are unsaved is that you lack that genuine assurance of salvation that 1 John 5:11 talks about, which will help you know that you are truly saved beyond any reasonable doubt.
You must understand that assurance of salvation will only come to you if you have had that genuine encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our salvation.
If you don’t have any genuine salvation experience in your life, forget about having this assurance of salvation that only genuinely saved believers on their way to heaven have.
All unsaved people without true conversion will not have this assurance of salvation which is why you will find yourself constantly doubting your salvation as God’s Spirit isn’t bearing witness with your spirit that you are saved.
Why? Simply because you are not yet God’s child and are still a stranger, that witness will not be there to indicate whether you are truly saved or not. The good news is that you can be genuinely saved today if you are not.

9. You’ll Love The World.
Secondly, if you are unsaved and merely practicing vain and empty religion which doesn’t help anyone to get to heaven you will still have the love of the world in you.
This explains why you will be a worldly person in the way you dress or conduct yourself. There will be no difference between you and the people of the world who don’t know God.
It’s so sad that many so-called Christians who claim to be saved are so in love with the world like there’s no tomorrow. This could be the love of worldly fashions, dressing, makeup, etc.
1 John 2:15-17 tells us that we must not love the world or the things that are of this world. The fact that you love this present world even if you claim to be a Christian shows that your salvation is sketchy.
You must understand that not truly saved Christians will love the world or will be friends with the world which is enmity with God as James 4:4 tells us.

10. You’ll Lack True Conversion.
Thirdly, if you are not genuinely saved, you will be a false convert without any true conversion that will make you live a changed life that’s separated from the moral pollutions of this world.
Yes, dear, you may go to church every Sunday, tithe, and sing in the worship choir like an angel but if your heart isn’t truly converted, all those religious rituals you are practicing are in vain.
Remember, true conversion comes first before any religious rituals, which is the case if you are a truly saved Christian who’s had a genuine encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ.
However, if you are unsaved, it will explain why you will live in habitual sin like sexual immorality, getting high on drugs, drunkenness, etc. even if you are a Sunday Christian like I was some time back.
If you still live in sin though you go to church every Sunday, it shows you are a false unsaved convert without true conversion.
I pray if you are such a person be saved today and experience true conversion so that you can be free from the bondage of sin.

11. You’ll Manifest The Works Of The Flesh.
It’s just a matter of fact that if you are not a truly saved Christian, the works of the flesh Galatians 5:19-21 talks about are what you will exhibit in your life as part of your sinful identity.
This will be because you don’t have the new nature of Christ yet and your old sinful nature that makes you want to do bad things and be drunk in your sins is still active in your life.
The 9 fruits of the Spirit mentioned in verses 22 and 23 of the above chapter, which only genuinely saved Christians have, will not be seen in your life as you have not had the new birth experience yet.
Instead, fleshly works like sexual immorality, adultery, drinking, watching sexually explicit content online, etc. are what will characterize your unregenerated sinful lifestyle.
A truly saved believer will not live and walk in the flesh nor desire to fulfill the lusts of the flesh they once loved when they were unsaved. If you still manifest fleshly works, you need to be delivered from that today.

12. You’ll Not Practice Holiness.
Another indicator that you are not a saved believer is that you will not practice holiness or be interested in living a holy life that is above sin and free from the moral pollution of this present evil world.
Instead, you will live in sin and claim to be a Christian which is absurd indeed if you ask me. As far as I know, no truly saved believer will live in sin and claim they are going to heaven.
This is because 1 John 3:8 tells us anyone who sins is of the devil and those who do righteousness and are born of God are righteous even as He’s righteous.
Therefore, if you are still living in sin and not living a life of holiness, just know you are of the devil. Yes, that may sound harsh but it’s the uncomfortable truth you need to hear.
If you say you are a child of God, you will live a holy life and have nothing to do with sin. On the contrary, if you are an unsaved hypocrite, you will be a double agent with one foot in church and the other in sin.
13. You Won’t Desire Christian Fellowship.
It’s just a known fact that if you are not a genuinely saved Christian, you won’t desire to fellowship with other believers in Christ who you share the same faith with.
This is because sin will separate you from true believers who are walking in the light. Since you are waking in darkness, it just makes sense that you will want to associate with your fellow unsaved sinners living in darkness as well.
Hebrews 10:25 tells us that we must not forsake the assembly of ourselves together as believers as the manner of some is because it’s very beneficial for the body of Christ.
However, if you are not a real believer, you will disregard the above verse with impunity and think it’s not a big deal to congregate with your fellow believers.
Instead, you will desire to associate with your fellow unbelievers who you will feel comfortable getting high on drugs with, drinking, partying, sleeping around, and doing all manner of evil things.
14. You’ll Feel Comfortable In Your Sins
We’ve all sinned at one point or another in our lives, knowingly and unknowingly. However, a truly saved person will not comfortably continue living in sin in the name of grace.
If you find yourself living a sinful lifestyle that you know is against God’s Word and you don’t feel convicted to stop doing that, it shows salvation hasn’t visited your life yet.
A genuinely saved Christian will experience a lack of peace and a troubled conscience when they sin as God’s Spirit through their conscience will prick, and convict such a person to repent immediately.
Conversely, if you sin without any remorse, it clearly shows you don’t have a genuine salvation experience in your life even if you are super religious due to your seared conscience.
It will explain why you will see nothing wrong with doing certain sinful things like fornication, immodest dressing, drinking, etc. the bible condemns as you could care less about living a holy life.
15. You Won’t Be Heavenly Minded.
Lastly, you won’t be heavenly-minded if you are an unsaved person. Instead, you will be carnal and only think about this world and how to enjoy life now like the rich fool mentioned in Luke 12:13-21.
This is because you still have a carnal mind that can’t perceive spiritual things as you will only think of enjoying your sinful pleasures now forgetting this earthly life is just for a season.
Heaven just won’t look attractive to you, especially if you are too engrossed in the carnal pleasures of this fallen world, which is fast heading for destruction.
Sadly, many people prefer enjoying their temporary sinful pleasures than focusing on heaven which is eternal and full of everlasting joy and happiness not yet known to man.
When you become truly saved, however, you will no longer see the things of this world attractive and realize you are just a pilgrim in this world that isn’t your home.
