How deep is God’s love for us? I’m sure you have come across this question at some point in your life and this is what we will discuss in this post today.
We all know that God is love as 1 John 4:16 tells us in the New Testament but my question to you today is do you know how high, deep, and broad God’s love is for you?
You need to understand that God loves more than anyone or yourself will ever love you which is why you need to be aware of His love, the only love that will satisfy you.
God’s love for us is seen and manifested in many ways in our lives even when we don’t realize it and it’s easy to feel that God doesn’t love us at times, especially during trials of faith.
Moreover, never listen to Satan’s lies that God doesn’t love you because He does as His love isn’t circumstance or situation-based.
Characteristics Of God’s Love.
One of the main traits of God’s love is that, unlike human love, God’s love is unconditional which is why Romans 5:8,9 tells us that He loved us while we were yet sinners.
This explains why the Lord Jesus Christ was sent to die for our sins so that we can have our sins forgiven and escape hell by accepting Him as our personal Lord and Savior.
God’s love for us is also immeasurable which implies that it can’t be measured in human terms as it’s infinite and without limits, unlike human love which has limitations.
Additionally, God’s love is also selfless and without any selfish motives. In contrast, human love will always be selfish and self-centered. Only interested in what it can get rather than what it can give to benefit the other.
This is why you must never be desperate for human love from anyone as no amount of human love from any fallen sinful human can ever satisfy the deepest needs of your soul to be loved.
Only God’s love can do that and that’s the love you must seek. Once you realize that, you will never be desperate to want to be loved by anyone as you know, there is nothing like God’s love.
Sadly, many people are so desperate to be loved by others which has made these people even forget to love themselves in the first place. God’s unfailing love is what you need to quench your thirst to be loved and valued.

The Depth Of God’s Love.
God’s love for humankind extends deeper than you can imagine and has no limits. It’s why the Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 8:38,39 that nothing be it death or earthly trials can separate us as God’s children from God’s love.
The depth of God’s love is even clearly seen and shown by sending His Dear Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins so that we can have salvation and eternal life even when we didn’t deserve His love.
God’s perfect love for you has nothing to do with your worthiness as His love and grace is something undeserved and something we can’t earn by our good works.
Jeremiah 31:3 in the Old Testament reminds us of the depth of God’s love by telling us that He has loved us with everlasting love that has no end. In contrast, no human can never love you this way due to our fallen nature.
You need to understand that human love will always be shallow and self-centered and nowhere near the amount of love God has for you that will heal all your past wounds and make you feel loved again if you feel unloved now.
Also, the depth of God’s love is seen during trying times in our lives when we go through trials of faith as He’s promised in Hebrews 13:5,6 that He will never leave us nor forsake us, unlike humans.

The Width Of God’s Love.
God’s love is also wide and all-encompassing which implies that He loves everyone equally and does not discriminate which is one of the characteristics that differentiates it from human love.
It’s why John 3:16 tells us that Christ Jesus died for everyone which is why everyone who comes to Jesus Christ for salvation, no matter the depth of their sins, will be forgiven, have eternal life, and won’t be rejected.
The infinite width of God’s love is what makes His love universal as it extends to all humanity regardless of race, creed, or status in society without any partiality or discrimination.
God doesn’t reserve His love only for certain groups or races of people. God loves all of us equally even when we are unworthy of His love which is what God’s love and grace are all about.
Yes, even if you are a horrible sinner, you are still a candidate of His love and you can have your sins forgiven if you come to Jesus Christ in true repentance and mean it in your heart that you want to be truly saved and have your sins forgiven.
The Height Of God’s Love.
God’s love is also infinitely high as it reaches further than the heavens and the skies as Psalms 36:5 tells us in the Old Testament.
Implying that His love stretches far and high to infinity beyond our imaginations. This trait of God’s love is what makes His love limitless and without any ceiling.
It also enables all true born-again believers to be partakers of all the spiritual and material blessings God has promised to all those who fully submit to Him and live holy and righteous lives that are above sin.
The Apostle Paul further illustrates the height of God’s love in Ephesians 1:3 which states that God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places and has made us to be seated with Him in heavenly places (Eph 2:6).
Summary & Conclusion.
The depth of God’s love is beyond our understanding. He loves us with true love, that is unconditional and everlasting. His love is not based on our merits or our performance but on His own goodness and grace.
God loves us even when we are sinners as He sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life. This is the ultimate demonstration of God’s love.
God’s love is also unfailing and merciful. He never gives up on us, no matter how many times we fail him. He is always there for us, to forgive us, to heal us, and to help us if we turn to Him.
As our heavenly father His steadfast love is our constant source of comfort and strength. We can always rely on him to love us, guide us, and protect us from evil.
The depth of God’s love is a mystery, but a mystery that we can experience in our own lives. When we open our hearts to him, we can feel his love surrounding us and filling us with peace and joy.
I hope this helps you to understand the depth of God’s love for you. He loves you more than you can ever imagine, and He wants to have a close relationship with you today. God bless.
